I finally got around to posting some of my pictures form the 2009 Utah vs BYU “Holy War.” BYU tight end Andrew George scored the final touchdown in overtime, winning the game 26-23.

Utah’s Jamie Deetscreek competes on the bars. Deetscreek scored a 9.8.

Utah’s Kyndal Robarts competes on the bars. Robarts scored a 9.775.

The recent little snowstorm blew away the worst air quality in the country Sunday. The photo on the left was made Jan. 31st, the other side, Dec., 20th.

I covered a Consecration at the Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Salt Lake City this past Sunday. It was a beautiful ceremony in a beautiful church. Here are some of the photos from that story.

On Monday, I covered a tragic apartment fire that killed 10-year-old Jackson Avery. When I arrive, the fire had been put out, and there was no word of any injuries or deaths. A few minutes later, South Salt Lake Fire Department Chief Steve Foote told members of the media that there was one confirmed fatality.

Tribune reporter Ross Siler and I spent some time with Utah Flash assistant coach Mark Madsen the other week during the NBA D-League Showcase in Boise, Idaho. A member of two Los Angeles Lakers championship teams in 2001 and 2002, Madsen was willing to start climbing the coaching ranks from one of the lowest rungs imaginable, a league in which top players make $25,500 and assistant coaches about the same.
